One of my favorite times of the year is November. The air is crisp and the leaves are usually falling from the trees. However, I do remember a time when it was still fairly warm on Thanksgiving.
My Thanksgiving tradition is watching the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles. It. Is so funny. John Candy is an obnoxious salesman who attaches himself to the advertising agent Steve Martin. Many funny scenes unfold as John Candy attempts to buddy up and help Steve Martin get home much to Steve Martins chagrin. In the end, a human connection is made. Steve Martin sees the wonderful person John Candy is, helpful, loving, kind, but alone. He takes him home for Thanksgiving with his family. It is a comedy, but of course it has a strong message about, humility, kindness, tolerance, love and acceptance. Thanksgiving is a time where you put aside everything and just be grateful.
What does this have to do with jewelry, nothing really. But it does have to do with being grateful that God has put this desire to create in me and given me opportunities to learn and grow. Also, I am so grateful for amazing friends who take time to find me at shows, buy my jewelry online, in the shop or in galleries. I love visiting and forming friendships with you and I am thankful to those who actually stop and read my ramblings. And if you did . . . mention my favorite Thanksgiving movie for $5. Off $50 or more or $ 10. Off $100 or more. Much love
