About us

Where I am
I am Lisha Collins and along with my husband, Jerry, we have been working to fix up this building, (mostly Jerry) for workshops, classes and studio time. Oh yeah, and we have a few cars in back. We are located at 526 South Main in beautiful downtown Hutchinson Kansas.

Who I am
As it turns out I am such a rock hound. I have found that buying and selling rocks, polishing them into cabochons and making jewelry is what comes most natural to me. After all, I come from a long line of "rock" people. I have been making jewelry off and on for 30 years. I design and create each piece by hand for your enjoyment. Because of this they are one of a kind pieces of art. The art that I make ties to my emotions. Sometimes they are whimsy, sometimes serious, other times reflective. I am constantly exploring new techniques and new ideas. I think that is one thing unique about my work. You may not recognize a consistent style in my work, as I believe we are always growing and changing. I hope that you will find a piece of my jewelry that reflects the place you are now in your life.

A Musing Art and Craft Studio
You might wonder about the name of my business. Though jewelry is my true passion, I also have a deep desire to inspire others to find their passion. I have worked in Occupational therapy for 20 years and understand the meaning of purposeful activity and the part it plays in our emotional well being. I love to support other artist and enjoy many relationships in the art community.

The COVID-19 has allowed me to have mini workshops, two to three people at a time making crazy copper earrings. Workshops and studio time will continue to be a part of my business. I would also love to have guest artist come and provide classes to the community.

What about Jerry
Jerry (a.k.a. Mr Wonderful) and I were married in December 2006. I think he thought I was crazy when I bought a Diamond Pacific Genie (rock polishing equipment) and started grinding rocks into cabochons. However, it didn't take long before he was sucked into the gem and mineral world and now he does most all of the polishing. In addition to that, HE IS MY ROCK! None of this would be possible without his support and assistance. (and occasional nudge).

Thanks for getting to know me.
